Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others? Are you patient, caring and compassionate? Maybe becoming a Personal Support Worker is right for you.

Limestone District School Board's Community Education has partnered with The John M Parrott Centre, in Napanee, to provide a Living Classroom where education is integrated into the Long Term Care home. Residents, staff and students engage in a culture of shared learning.

Students benefit from experiential learning with residents, families and team members while enhancing their skills and developing practical skills and confidence.

Our program is intense and unique in that it is only 5months long! Training courses begin in September and February annually. Classes run Monday through Friday in-person and onsite within the long term care home. The program consists of theory, lab, clinical, and practical learning. Students complete approximately 330hours in the classroom instruction, 110hours of supervised clinical experience, 110hour work placement in a community agency and 110hour work placement within a long term care home. Students must also successfully complete the Provincial CESBA exam as a requirement to earn the PSW certificate.

To apply, you must attend an information session. You must attend one session to be eligible to transition to the next phase of the application process.

Information Sessions happening every WEDNESDAY at 10AM throughout OCTOBER 2025~!
